Established in 1992, Livermore Valley Opera has been a leading producer of world-class opera in the Tri-Valley region, and all opera performances are held at the Bankhead Theater in Livermore. This gem of a theater features an intimate 500-seat setting, with excellent lines of sight and acoustics, helping LVOpera to attract talented singers and stage directors. LVOpera presents two full-scale opera productions per season, in spring and fall, and all auditions for the entire season are held once per year.
Principal Auditions
LVOpera is always looking for classically-trained artists to audition for both principal and supporting roles.
At this time there are no principal auditions scheduled. The 2024-25 Season is cast, and the 2025-26 season is still under consideration.
Chorus Auditions
The Livermore Valley Opera Chorus is excited to announce our upcoming 2024/25 season auditions:
Saturday, June 8, 1-4 pm; and Sunday, June 9, 1-4 pm.
Auditions will be held at the Bothwell Arts Center, 2466 Eighth St, Livermore, CA 94550.

For the audition, please prepare an aria (preferred) or art song in either French or Italian. Other audition materials will be accepted, but less preferred. If you cannot make either audition date, you may submit a recent video link of you singing live.
The Fall production for 2024 will be Donizetti’s delightful comedy La fille du régiment (The Daughter of the Regiment), sung in French.
In the Spring of 2025, LVOpera will present Mozart’s darkly funny masterpiece, Don Giovanni, sung in Italian.
