Torlef Borsting – In the 2010-2011 season, Borsting appeared as Vronsky in Anna Karenina, Baron Scarpia in Tosca, Doctor Bartolo in Il Barbiere di Siviglia, and Marcello in La Bohѐme with Opera San Jose as one of their Resident Artists. He appeared with San Francisco Opera as a Soldier in The Maid of Orleans, the Scythian Man in Iphigenie en Tauride, and Wilmer McLean in the world premiere of Philip Glasses”s Appomattox. Recent performances also include Marcello in La Bohѐme with Opera San Luis Obispo, Marquis in La Traviata for Sacramento Opera, the 2nd Apprentice in Wozzeck with Ensemble Parallele. Other roles include, Prince Yeletsky in the Queen of Spades with West Bay Opera, Sharpless with OSLO. Horace Tabor in The Ballad of Baby Doe, Belcore in L’Elisir d’amore, and Jack Rance in La Fanciulla del West with Berkely West Edge Opera.
