Mike Miller • Board Member

Mike Miller was raised in a home that cherished classical music, and his mother had a passion for opera. Originally from Germany, Mike grew up in Susanville, CA. After graduation his family moved to the SF Bay Area, where his mother regularly attended opera performances in San Francisco, but as a teenager with competing interests, he refused to accompany her when invited. A decision, in retrospect, that he deeply regrets.

Mike is retired from the San Lorenzo School District. In 1995, he and his wife, Brook, moved to Livermore and shortly thereafter attended their first “Opera in the Vineyard” summer concert. They enjoyed it so much that they bought tickets for Livermore Valley Opera’s fall production and have been loyal patrons since.  Over the years, he has been pleased to see a steady improvement of the company’s production values, and decided to get more involved.
